Pets Best

The mission at PB is to end economic euthanasia by helping pet owners be financially prepared for unexpected veterinary care. During my time there, I contributed to several key projects, including designing landing pages, developing app interfaces, and most recently, leading the update of the homepage.

Summary

This specific piece is a vet page in order to locate your vet by area and reviews. It’s a searching function similar to Google but for vets, the idea is to drive more traffic to the Pets Best site in order to drive more awareness and quotes.

The Challenge

Users would come to the Pests Best website to view and/or update insurance. There were times the user needed to know their benefits or had questions. But, when it came to finding a vet once questions were answered the user had to leave and go to another website to look up. Why not keep them on the PB website with searching for vets in their area? Finding a way to locate a vet easily keeps the user on the site and allows them to login and find their pet benefits without leaving.

Homepage Redesign

PB wanted a new homepage design, with updated contact and login features and functionality. This included responsive design & SEO searching. Also, it was updating the UI to involve more of the younger generations to get involved in pet insurance since it was on the rise & involving more purchases.

Pets Best App

Most projects I work on are managed from the beginning to the end. I recently worked on an Android app that will later move to an iPhone. This project started as a wireframe & turned into a full custom design. There were several rounds of revision, functionality, managing time, & communication with an outside company building it. This was a new project for me because I have never designed an app before; only mobile responsive. There was research & following many examples of how apps are designed to allow the best user experience. The end experience is clean, easy & functional.
